UI CASE STUDY 2
Design Brief:
HappyTutors, a company offering home tutor placement services have engaged UX students of Year 2 to redesign their online form enabling customers to register their interest for tutors.
About The Project
This assignment was given to all UX students, studying User Interaction module in Year 2 Semester 1 as their CA2. For this project, we were told to design a form, for both students and parents to request a tutor. This tutor branch provides tutoring to all Secondary, JC and University Students. On an Important Note: We were ONLY tasked to design the "Request a tutor" page or otherwise known as the form page. Designing other pages like homepage, about us etc. were not part of the assignment.
The Process
When desigining a website, we need to think of how the layout should look like and the different type of elements we should include. Hence, before starting this project, I had to do some preparation by researching different processes and layouts of completing a form online. Also, we had to keep in mind on, including at least 4 different types of UI elements inside the form page.
After settling with some inspirations online, I moved on to designing the wireframes and once I was satisfied with the draft site. I started adding colors, chose an appropriate typography and additional elements to enhance the user-friendy design. (Mockups)
Last but not least, was to make it interactive and turning the Mockup into a Prototype! Ensuring that the flow of submitting the form is smooth and effective.
